ABOUT THE 28TH COMBINED ARMS DIVISION

The 28th C.A.D is an online ArmA III Military Simulation community established on August, 2019. Built by U.S Army Veterans and lead by newly minted leaders with 0 previous habits from running past communities. Our leadership goal is to prevent as much toxicity that other units breed through enclosed groups and cliques that make others feel out of the "loop".

The 28th C.A.D is a Community built around the identity of a Cohesive, Interactive, Immersive, and most of all a Fun, and Inclusive Partnership.

Community

We are a social group of friends and acquaintances that share a commonality of Arma III.

Cohesive

As a community separated over different identities and duties, we work hard to involve and gear everyone together in our events. No one is left out.

Interactive

As a cohesive community we strive in our daily lives to be as interactive with each other and the game we play. We value the relationships bonded after our events.

Immersive

As a community that plays ArmA III our goal is to provide an environment that can not only teach but make you feel immersed into a military simulation.

Fun

The backbone of all our daily operations is a fun time. Although our goal is to provide an immersive environment we use fun as the moderator to the extraneous feel of "Hyper-Realism".

Inclusive Partnership

We aim to include everyone as a partner in our community. Although we formally follow an assigned Chain of Command, Ranks, and Billets; Everyone here is a part of the same community and team.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Gameservers

The 28th has three servers: Operations, Random Gamemode, Training.

For our Gamemode server, we typically host whatever the community wants, ie; Antistasi, Liberation, Hearts and Minds, etc.

Personnel Files

Each member has access to their personnel file which contains records for Service, Combat, Assignment, and Qualifications.

Information such as Billet, Administrative Positions, TIS/TIG, and more can be found in the Personnel Files

Inactive Reserves

Don't think you can commit the the six operations per month requirement for active duty?

Then you can transfer to Inactive Reserves where as long as you can attend two operations per month, you can access everything the 28th has to offer.

MOS Progression

A streamlined system that allows our enlisted players to specialize into specific roles in their MOS'.

For example, if one person is really good as being the M249 Gunner for their team, they may choose to pursue acquiring the Senior and Master Auto-Rifleman Badges, which would allow them to unlock specific rewards to use in-game.

Operation Variety

We host three operations per week from Main Operations to Deployment Operations which follow a dynamic narrative.

Occasionally we have side operations and events during the week.

Safe Environment

At the 28th, we strive to be an inclusive community and provide a safe space for our members to relax and have fun without the fear of harassment and negativity.

We accept everyone regardless of race, colour, ethnic or national origins, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or age.

OUR TAKE ON REALISM

The 28th C.A.D aims to provide our members with a fun realistic military simulated experience within ArmA III's limit. While realistic, there is a fine line between fun realism and over the top realism, with the former being our focus and therefore we put a lot of time and effort in creating a combat realistic operational environment for our members without the need for calling us Sir.

Mil-Sim

In ArmA III, the military simulation experience is conducted effectively with the use of a clear unit structure, allocated equipment (OCIE), and radio communication.

There's a fine line between fun realism and over the top realism, if it doesn't make sense to simulate it, then we don't.

Training

We teach real-life NATO military tactics and doctrine taught by experienced teachers and military personnel. Progressing through the courses provided by TRADOC, you'll gain access to additional knowledge and tools, allowing you to soldify yourself as a core member of your fireteam and squad.

Career

From participating in S-Shops to leading, members have many avenues of opportunities to assist with the unit's growth and development.

Involvement and activity doesn't go unnoticed and can lead to growth within your 28th C.A.D career.

Modifications

We utilise mods such as ACE and KAT Medical to improve the overall military simulation experience. ACRE2 is used for authentic radio communications while we utilise USP, RHS, and CUP for realistic gear, vehicles, units, and more.

These are integral to our operational dynamic and overall military simulation experience.
